Topic: Welcome to the future of xajax

Hello everyone,

In the recent past, I contacted Jonathan Max Wilson, the creator and lead developer of xajax, to see if I could assist in some development work on the project. I also thought it'd be great to switch to a more user-friendly and powerful forums system (the one at SourceForge leaves something to be desired), and I offered to help with that move. Little did I know where this would end up!

After talking it over with Jonathan, I am pleased to announce that I have his blessing to take over as project manager, lead developer, and otherwise benevolent dictator of xajax. Jonathan will still be contributing ideas and code as time permits, but he's agreed to let me steer the project in the right directions as far as improvements, bug fixes, and implementation of new features are concerned.

I have some great ideas for how to make xajax one of the leading AJAX libraries available for PHP. I'll be outlining some of these in detail over the next few days. Now, and always, I welcome any feedback you may have on how to improve xajax and make it serve your particular Web development needs. Please post your messages here on the forums, or if you would like to contact me personally, you can reach me at jared@intuitivefuture.com. I'm also on IM: MSN is jwhite@gaeldesign.com and AIM is GaelDesign.

Here's to the future of xajax! *clink*

Jared

P. S. Forgot to mention -- we have a new logo as well, as you can see, and it should be up on the main xajax site shortly. Let me know what you think!
